Terms of Service
1. Who we are
revs.wtf (“we”, “us”) is a photo-sharing service for car and motorbike photography, operated by revs.wtf, Postal address to be added before launch, Ireland. You can reach us at Revswtf@gmail.com.
2. Who can use revs.wtf
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 16 and live in a country where the age of digital consent is 16 (including Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands), a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
- You must not have been banned from revs.wtf before, and you must be allowed to use the service under the law that applies to you.
3. Your account
Keep your password safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Usernames are first come, first served; we may reclaim a username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark or has been inactive with no photos for over two years.
4. Your photos and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of everything you post. To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, re-encode, display and distribute your photos and text on revs.wtf (including in Discover, Staff Picks and link previews) for as long as they are on the service. This licence ends when you delete the photo or your account, except for copies other people have already republished to their Collection, which are removed when your photo is deleted.
We may feature your public photos inside revs.wtf (for example as a Staff Pick or on the home page), always credited to you. We will not sell your photos or use them in advertising outside revs.wtf without asking you first.
When you post, you confirm that:
- you took the photo, or you have the photographer's permission to post it;
- anyone identifiable in it has agreed, or you have blurred their face, and other people's number plates are blurred or shown with consent;
- it follows our Community Guidelines.
5. Images only
revs.wtf accepts still photos only (JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC). Every upload is re-encoded and has its metadata removed, including camera details and GPS location, before it is stored.
6. Things you must not do
- Break the law, or post anything that promotes dangerous or illegal driving or riding.
- Post other people's photos without permission, or anything that infringes intellectual property.
- Harass, threaten, dox or impersonate anyone.
- Post sexual content, hate, or anything that exploits or endangers children.
- Scrape, spam, automate accounts, or try to break or overload the service.
- Use revs.wtf to sell stolen vehicles or parts, or to run scams.
7. Moderation
We review reports and may hide or remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts or ban them where content or behaviour breaks these terms or the guidelines, or where the law requires it. When we act on your content we tell you what we did and why (a statement of reasons under the EU Digital Services Act), and you can appeal from the notification or the photo page. A person, not an automated system, reviews every appeal.
8. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Privacy. It is hidden immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law or the safety of others prevents it.
9. The service is provided as is
We work hard to keep revs.wtf running and your photos safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copies of your photos. Vehicle specifications shown on profiles are entered by users and may be wrong.
Never use your phone while driving or riding. Take photos only when you are safely stopped and off the road.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Apart from that, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to €100. If you use revs.wtf as a consumer, you keep all the rights consumer law gives you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you open revs.wtf, and you can delete your account if you don't agree.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If you live in the EU or the UK you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
